Job Description

A busy property law practice in Nairobi is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant with conveyancing experience. The role involves supporting residential and commercial conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion, including property searches, title verification, and liaison with the land registry.

Responsibilities

Support conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion. Conduct property searches and title verification. Liaise with the Land Registry and Ministry of Lands. Prepare and process property documentation. Coordinate with mortgage lenders and other stakeholders. Maintain case files and document management.

Requirements

1-2 years experience in conveyancing or property law. Bachelor's degree. Familiarity with land registry systems, property searches, and mortgage/lender processes. Proficiency in MS Office. Diploma in Legal Studies or Paralegal Studies is desirable. Experience with the Ardhisasa platform is an advantage.

Compensation

KSh15,000 - KSh30,000/month
