VÚB banka is seeking a Legal Counsel for Corporate Banking at its regional office in Košice, the second-largest city in Slovakia. You will provide legal support for corporate lending, real estate financing, and commercial banking transactions in eastern Slovakia.
Košice is an important business hub serving the eastern Slovak market, including the US Steel Košice industrial complex. This role involves drafting loan documentation, managing security interests, and handling banking disputes. Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate corporate loan agreements and security documentation. Manage real estate security interests and Kataster nehnuteľností filings for the bank. Handle banking disputes and debt recovery proceedings in eastern Slovakia. Advise on AML/KYC compliance for corporate banking clients. Support structured lending and project finance in the eastern Slovak market. Coordinate with VÚB's central legal team in Bratislava and Intesa Sanpaolo Group.
Requirements
Slovak law degree (Mgr.) with 3-5 years of banking or commercial law experience. Knowledge of Slovak banking legislation, the Obchodný zákonník, and security interests under the Občiansky zákonník. Experience with loan documentation and corporate finance preferred. Fluent Slovak and English.
