Volkswagen Slovakia is seeking a Legal Counsel for Manufacturing Compliance at its component production operations in the Žilina region. You will advise on environmental permits, workplace safety regulations, and supply chain contracts for VW's component manufacturing facilities in northwestern Slovakia.
The Žilina region is a key hub of Slovakia's automotive industry, with KIA Slovakia and numerous component manufacturers located nearby. This role involves coordinating with VW's Bratislava headquarters while providing on-the-ground legal support for the northwestern manufacturing corridor along the D1 and D3 motorways.
Responsibilities
Advise on environmental compliance and permitting for manufacturing operations. Handle employment law matters for the Žilina production workforce. Draft and negotiate supplier and subcontractor agreements. Support workplace safety compliance and incident investigations. Manage local litigation and disputes before Žilina courts. Coordinate with VW Slovakia's central legal team in Bratislava on policy implementation.
Requirements
Slovak law degree (Mgr.) with 3-5 years of experience in commercial, environmental, or employment law. Knowledge of Slovak environmental legislation, Zákonník práce, and the Obchodný zákonník. Manufacturing or automotive sector experience preferred. Fluent Slovak, English, and German.
