Job Description

The Narok County Public Service Board invites applications for the position of Legal Officer. The officer will provide legal services to the county government including drafting legislation, advising on legal matters, handling litigation, and ensuring compliance with county and national laws. This is a permanent and pensionable position under the county government establishment.

Responsibilities

Provide legal advisory services to the county government departments. Draft county legislation, policies, and regulations. Handle litigation on behalf of the county government. Advise on public procurement and contract management. Review legal instruments and agreements. Ensure compliance with constitutional and statutory requirements.

Requirements

LLB degree from a recognized university. Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. Admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practicing certificate. Minimum 3 years relevant experience. Knowledge of devolution laws, public procurement, and county governance. Must meet requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
