Job Description

The Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS) invites applications for Legal Officer to handle tax dispute resolution, enforcement and legislative compliance across all revenue streams.

Responsibilities

Handle tax objections and appeals to the Tax Tribunal
Draft legal opinions on revenue legislation
Support enforcement and prosecution of tax offences
Liaise with the Attorney General's Chambers

Requirements

LLB and admitted to the Botswana Bar
2+ years in tax, administrative or public law
Knowledge of the Income Tax Act and VAT Act
