Job Description
MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Online resumes must demonstrate qualification by providing specific examples and associated results, in response to the announcement's mandatory criteria specified in this vacancy announcement: 1) Experience managing projects and/or programs with multiple customers. 2) Experience with business process improvement to develop new or modified work methods, organizational structures, management processes, and/or program administration procedures to enable efficient legal business operations. 3) Experience using written and oral communication skills to convey information to audiences of various technical capabilities. 4) Experience researching and gathering relevant, timely, and accurate information to solve a problem set. 5) Experience preparing a variety of narrative and tabular material (e.g., legal briefs, correspondence, reports, technical papers, and/or manuals, etc.). 6) Experience performing a variety of business operations functions that operationalize the administration and operations of a law office (e.g., program management, records management, data/information management, manpower utilization, budget allocation and/or execution management, security administration, property management, reports management, and other related activities). DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1) Experience working in a legal office/organization and/or experience as a legal assistant with support to one or more of the following areas: administrative law; national security law; international law; federal employment law policies, procedures, and programs; legislative proposals and reviews; information technology law; litigation; tort claims; ethics; privacy and civil liberties; U.S. Government information practices to include the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA); intelligence oversight; acquisition law; or intellectual property law. 2) Experience providing legal assistant services in support of the U.S. Military, Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, or other U.S. Government agencies. 3) Experience navigating ambiguity by adapting to new demands or information and handling situations with multiple variables and/or unknowns. 4) Ability to prepare and organize evidence to support a variety of legal matters. 5) Practical knowledge of legal terminology.
