Job Description

This role is an Individual Contributor in the IT organization supporting Legal at Western Digital.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical Program Management Excellence

• Lead cross-functional programs spanning Legal, IT, and Information Security domains • Define scope, success metrics, and roadmaps while overseeing end-to-end execution • Manage vendor relationships and influence system roadmaps to meet Legal organization needs • Facilitate technical requirements and maintain well-defined roadmaps with senior stakeholders

Legal Technology Leadership

• Serve as in-house expert on legal technologies (CLM, document automation, AI tools) • Collaborate with IT infrastructure, development, and testing teams on releases and upgrades • Stay current on legal tech trends and vendor roadmaps to inform IT strategy

Support & Adoption Enablement

• Provide L2/L3 support including onboarding, user provisioning, and workflow troubleshooting • Lead live demos and training sessions for new technology adoption • Develop user guides, training materials, and internal documentation • Drive technology adoption through targeted communications and engagement

Innovation & Change Management

• Continuously identify automation and innovation opportunities in legal operations • Track system usage, impact, and satisfaction metrics • Lead organizational change management initiatives, both tactical and strategic

REQUIRED:

• Extensive experience in legal business consulting, legal technology innovation, or legal managed services • Strong technical program management with large-scale legal operations projects • Executive stakeholder relationship management • Deep knowledge of legal systems (contract management, e-discovery, compliance platforms) • Legal industry process expertise (regulatory compliance, M&A, IP management, data privacy) • IT systems administration and L2/L3 business support experience • Information security acumen and organizational change management skills • Vendor management and coordination experience

• Education: Bachelor's required; JD, MBA, or Master's preferred

Relevant Certifications: CLOC/ILTA/ACC, CIPP/CIPM/CIPT, PMP, CISA/CISM/CISSP, Agile, Lean/Six Sigma
