The Senior Counsel, Trading is an integral member of the trading solutions business responsible for providing strategic legal advice to bring new products and features to the institutional market. This role requires a builder's mindset and direct involvement from the product discovery stage through establishing, structuring, developing policies, and conducting legal research for regulatory compliance. You will provide legal expertise on market infrastructure, including crypto trading venues, prime brokers, custodians, and payment rails. Responsibilities include structuring, drafting, and negotiating counterparty agreements for prime brokerage features, electronic trading agreements, derivatives, and financing arrangements, while coordinating with internal teams and managing external counsel. Finally, you will provide strategic advice to executive leadership on reputational and regulatory issues and advise on the implementation and ongoing compliance of key relevant regulations.
