Job Description
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-05 for a GS-07, and GS-07 for a GS-09) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. To be hired at the GS-07 grade level, applicants must minimally have one (1) year of experience at the next lower grade (GS-05), which is defined as: Applying laws, regulations, or policies governing financial or pay practices to assist customers with legal process or financial questions; and Using automated systems to review or process transactions. To be hired at the GS-09 grade level, applicants must minimally have one (1) year of experience at the next lower grade (GS-07), which is defined as: Reviewing legal documents related to financial, debt, or pay practices (such as garnishment orders, claims, or bankruptcy filings) to determine whether legal requirements have been met; and Using automated systems to process legal, financial or related transactions. You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
