Job Description

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by: managing complex legal case files by conducting in-depth research and analysis, drafting legal documents, and developing litigation strategies; administering the ethics and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) programs, which includes providing training, reviewing financial disclosures for compliance, and processing information requests; performing in-depth, timely, and accurate research and analysis on various legal matters; and drafting and reviewing documents for accuracy and compliance and collaborates with attorneys to provide recommendations and conclusions on complex legal matters, including those without clear precedent. OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Paralegal Studies. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
