Project Finance Associate — Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City

Freshfields' Ho Chi Minh City office is looking for a mid-level Associate to join its project finance and energy team. You will work on major infrastructure, power, and LNG projects in Vietnam, advising lenders, sponsors, and government entities on complex financing structures.

• Draft and negotiate project finance documentation including facility agreements, security packages, and inter-creditor agreements
• Advise on regulatory approvals from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Electricity Regulatory Authority of Vietnam
• Conduct legal due diligence on power purchase agreements and energy concessions
• Support partners on negotiations with Vietnamese government counterparts and international development banks
• Research regulatory developments in renewable energy, LNG, and offshore wind

• 3-6 years' PQE in project finance, banking, or energy law
• Experience with BOT, BT, and PPP project structures under the PPP Law 2020
• Knowledge of Power Development Plan VIII and Vietnam's energy regulatory framework
• Understanding of the Law on Public Investment 2019 and Electricity Law
• Fluent in Vietnamese and English; strong drafting skills in both languages
• Cử nhân Luật or equivalent; international LLM preferred
