Real Estate & Construction Avukat — Kolcuoglu Demirkan Kocakli, Istanbul

KDK is hiring a Real Estate & Construction Avukat for its Levent office. Istanbul's booming real estate market and major infrastructure projects (including new metro lines, Canal Istanbul planning, and mega-developments) drive strong demand for lawyers specializing in Turkish real estate and construction law.

Key Responsibilities

Advise on real estate acquisitions, disposals, and development projects under the Turkish Land Registry Law (Tapu Kanunu)
Handle construction contract drafting and disputes under Turkish Law of Obligations No. 6098
Advise foreign investors on real estate acquisition restrictions and reciprocity requirements
Handle zoning (imar) law disputes and building permit matters before administrative courts
Draft and negotiate lease agreements for commercial, residential, and industrial properties
Support project finance and real estate investment trust (GYO) transactions
Handle property-related litigation including title disputes, easement claims, and expropriation cases

Requirements

Active avukat license and Istanbul Bar Association membership
4-8 years of real estate and/or construction law experience
Knowledge of Turkish Land Registry Law, Zoning Law No. 3194, and Law of Obligations No. 6098
Experience with real estate due diligence, title review, and land registry procedures
LLB from a recognized Turkish university
Fluent Turkish and English
Experience with large-scale development projects or REITs is a plus
