Job Description

Linklaters Germany is seeking a Rechtsanwalt to join our Restructuring and Insolvency practice in Munich. You will advise creditors, debtors, and investors on complex restructuring situations, insolvency proceedings, and distressed M&A transactions in the German and European market.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on formal insolvency proceedings under the InsO including Eigenverwaltung and Schutzschirmverfahren
  • Support out-of-court restructurings and StaRUG proceedings
  • Advise creditors on security enforcement and insolvency challenges (Insolvenzanfechtung)
  • Assist with distressed M&A transactions and asset deals from insolvency estates
  • Draft and negotiate restructuring plans and standstill agreements
  • Advise on directors' duties and liability in situations of financial distress

Requirements

  • Zweites Staatsexamen with Praedikatsexamen preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in restructuring, insolvency, or banking law
  • Admitted as Rechtsanwalt in Germany
  • Thorough knowledge of InsO, StaRUG, and German insolvency law
  • Understanding of financial restructuring concepts and credit documentation
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Fachanwalt fuer Insolvenzrecht qualification is advantageous
