Job Description
Gleiss Lutz is seeking an experienced Rechtsanwaltsfachangestellte (Legal Secretary/Paralegal) to support our Corporate/M&A team in Frankfurt. You will play a vital role in managing complex transactions by handling document management, filing, client communications, and administrative coordination.
Responsibilities
- Manage and organize transaction data rooms and document management systems
- Prepare and format legal documents, contracts, and correspondence in German and English
- Coordinate filing and registration procedures with commercial registers (Handelsregister) and notaries
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and billing processes
- Handle client correspondence and maintain client relationship databases
- Support due diligence processes and document review coordination
- Organize team events, travel, and conference logistics
Requirements
- Completed training as Rechtsanwaltsfachangestellte/r or Rechtsanwalts- und Notarfachangestellte/r
- 2-5 years of experience in a German law firm, preferably in corporate/M&A
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office, document management systems, and virtual data rooms
- Good knowledge of German legal procedures and Handelsregister filings
- Good German and English language skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
