Job Description

DGKV, one of Bulgaria's leading full-service law firms, is seeking a Senior Corporate/M&A Lawyer to join its corporate practice in Sofia. The successful candidate will lead complex cross-border M&A transactions, advise multinational clients on Bulgarian corporate law matters, and contribute to the strategic growth of the firm's transactional practice. DGKV offers a dynamic working environment with exposure to high-profile deals across Southeast Europe.

Responsibilities

Leading and managing M&A transactions from inception through closing; Drafting and negotiating transactional documents including SPAs, SHAs, and joint venture agreements; Conducting and supervising legal due diligence processes; Advising clients on transaction structuring, regulatory approvals, and Competition Protection Commission filings; Ensuring compliance with Bulgarian and EU corporate legislation; Mentoring junior associates and coordinating deal teams; Developing and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Requirements

Master's degree in Law from a recognized Bulgarian or European university; Admission to the Sofia Bar Association with minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience; Extensive experience in M&A transactions, due diligence, and corporate restructurings; Deep knowledge of the Bulgarian Commerce Act, Obligations and Contracts Act, and EU corporate directives; Fluent English (written and spoken); Strong client relationship management skills; Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
