Job Description
DGKV is looking for a Banking & Finance Associate to strengthen its financial services practice in Sofia. The role involves advising domestic and international banks on syndicated lending, project finance, and financial restructuring under Bulgarian law. The ideal candidate will have solid transactional experience and a strong understanding of Bulgarian and EU banking regulations.
Responsibilities
Advising lenders and borrowers on structured finance and lending transactions; Drafting and reviewing loan agreements, security documents, and intercreditor arrangements; Conducting legal analysis of regulatory requirements for financial products; Assisting with bank licensing and regulatory compliance matters; Advising on debt restructuring and enforcement of security interests; Collaborating with international counsel on cross-border financing deals; Supporting due diligence reviews of financial institutions.
Requirements
Master's degree in Law; Admission to the Sofia Bar Association with 3-5 years of experience in banking and finance law; Proven experience in loan documentation, security packages, and regulatory compliance; Knowledge of the Credit Institutions Act, BNB regulations, and EU banking directives; Fluent English required; Working knowledge of German is an advantage; Strong analytical and drafting skills.
