Location: Remote-United States

We’re looking for a highly motivated, technical, and pragmatic attorney to join our Ads Legal team as Senior Counsel, Ads Ecosystem & Partnerships. This is a unique hybrid role designed for a "full-stack" ads lawyer who can pivot seamlessly between deep product counseling on complex integrations and leading bespoke commercial negotiations with our most important ad-tech partners and others.

You will be the primary legal architect for Reddit’s expanding 3rd-party (3P) ad partner ecosystem, supporting initiatives that drive hundreds of millions in annual revenue.  You also will have the opportunity to advise on cutting edge ads product launches and negotiate a broad range of deals for our commercial legal team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Bespoke Negotiations: Act as the lead negotiator for partnerships with Agency HoldCo data platforms, Measurement Partners (MMPs), and E-commerce platforms.
  • Hybrid Product Counseling: Provide end-to-end legal guidance on the engineering and product work required for 3P integrations. This includes advising on new workstreams, catalog synchronization, and revenue-share mechanics.
  • Data & Privacy Governance: Ensure all integrations comply with evolving global privacy laws (GDPR, ePrivacy, U.S. State Laws) and protect Reddit’s valuable proprietary ads data from misuse.
  • Emerging Tech Strategy: strong working knowledge of "next-gen" ads solutions, including Data Clean Rooms (e.g., Snowflake), Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA), and AI-driven brand safety tools (e.g., Zefr).
  • Risk Mitigation: Respond to and anticipate regulatory shifts affecting ads privacy and data sharing, ensuring Reddit remains a privacy-forward leader in the ad-tech space.

What We’re Looking Fo:

  • Expertise in Ad-Tech: 8+ years of legal experience with a significant focus on the online advertising ecosystem. You understand the digital ads business and how data moves across the internet, including through MMPs, and Clean Rooms.
  • Hybrid Skillset: You are equally comfortable redlining a complex revenue-share agreement as you are sitting with a PM to review the data flow for a Conversions API (CAPI) integration.
  • Technical Depth: Deep knowledge of technical ads infrastructure (Pixels, CAPI, ID Graphs) and emerging privacy trends (Signal loss, AI/LLMs).
  • Global Privacy Mastery: Strong working knowledge of GDPR, U.S. State Privacy Laws, and self-regulatory regimes (IAB, NAI).
  • Proactive Problem Solver: A "get-to-yes" mindset. You don't just flag risks; you propose mitigations and build scalable processes to accelerate partner onboarding.
  • Qualifications: JD and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (or ability to register as in-house counsel where required).
