Senior Data Protection Counsel - Meta Ireland
Meta Platforms Ireland Limited is seeking a Senior Data Protection Counsel to join the European Privacy Legal team at Meta's international headquarters in Dublin. You will lead on complex GDPR matters, DPC investigations, and cross-border data protection issues for Meta's European operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on DPC investigations and GDPR enforcement matters
- Advise on complex data processing activities and privacy impact assessments
- Manage cross-border data transfer compliance including Standard Contractual Clauses
- Advise on children's privacy and age verification requirements
- Support litigation before the Irish Courts and CJEU on data protection matters
Requirements
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in Ireland or an EU jurisdiction
- 8+ years PQE in data protection and privacy law
- Extensive experience with GDPR enforcement and DPC proceedings
- Deep knowledge of EU data protection case law including CJEU jurisprudence
- CIPP/E qualification is highly desirable
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills
