Role Overview

As a Senior Financial Risk and Compliance Analyst, you are a key contributor to the HCP financial compliance and internal controls environment, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices. You leverage your expertise in financial processes and controls to help mitigate risk and drive operational excellence. Reporting to the VP of Compliance, you work closely with cross-functional teams and external auditors to design, implement, and perform comprehensive reviews of internal controls over critical financial processes. You take a high level of ownership in identifying risks, control gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.

Our team is passionate, empathetic, hard working, and above all else focused on improving the lives of our service professionals (our Pros). Our success is their success.

What you do each day:

  • Lead the execution and documentation of the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program, including planning and testing
  • Design and perform comprehensive reviews of internal controls over critical processes (i.e. Record to Report, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay)
  • Act as a primary resource for control owners, providing guidance on control design and evidence requirements
  • Evaluate the impact of new business processes and system implementations on the internal control environment
  • Facilitate end-to-end process walkthroughs to identify risks and opportunities for efficiency gains
  • Coordinate with external auditors to fulfill requests and drive the timely remediation of control deficiencies
  • Participate in the annual risk assessment process and assist in developing the scope for compliance
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on control testing results for management review
  • Ensure management testing is performed completely and accurately within allotted timeframes
  • Help support IT compliance reviews and audits where needed (i.e. PCI and SOC2)

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Audit, Compliance, or Internal Controls
  • Prior experience in public accounting or internal audit roles is required
  • Deep knowledge of SOX compliance, internal auditing standards, GAAP, and the COSO framework
  • Experience working within the SaaS, Fintech, or technology sectors preferred
  • Proficiency with financial systems and tools (i.e. Netsuite, Airbase, and GRC platforms)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience
  • CPA, CIA, CISA or other relevant professional certification is highly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of IT controls, key reports and their integration with business process controls

What will help you succeed:

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve workflows, streamline execution, or enhance outputs
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex compliance issues to non-technical audiences
  • Empathy for the customer and a commitment to maintaining a secure financial environment for our Pros
  • Self-starter mentality with a proven track record of exercising independent judgment on complex assignments
