school accredited by the American Bar Association and must be a current member, in good standing of a state, territory of the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico bar association. GS-15: Applicants must have four (4) years of relevant professional legal experience post bar admission equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level. Experience may be outside the federal government. Highly qualified applicants will have experience as an attorney or attorney advisor related to federal agency engagement with Congressional stakeholders, advising leadership and executives on strategy for Congressional engagement, reviewing proposed legislation, coordinating and recommending options for legislative technical assistance, and coordinating with subject matter experts to identify and resolve legal problems and other issues presented by draft legislation. This includes experience coordinating engagement with Congressional stakeholders on oversight and enforcement related work by HHS-OIG or other oversight entities, and experience developing and maintaining regular and direct with senior Congressional staff. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume should include the dates of all qualifying experience (from month/year to month/year) and the number of hours worked/volunteered per week.
