Tax Advisor — Legal Department — Al Tamimi & Company
Al Tamimi & Company's tax practice in DIFC, Dubai is seeking a Tax Advisor to advise on the UAE's evolving tax landscape. With the introduction of corporate tax, VAT, and excise tax in recent years, this role offers exposure to groundbreaking tax law in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on UAE Corporate Tax (Federal Decree-Law No. 47/2022) compliance, including free zone qualifying income provisions
- Structure transactions to optimise tax positions across DIFC, ADGM, and mainland UAE jurisdictions
- Advise on VAT compliance under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 8/2017 and Federal Tax Authority (FTA) requirements
- Handle transfer pricing documentation and country-by-country reporting obligations
- Support tax dispute resolution and appeals before the Tax Disputes Resolution Committee (TDRC)
- Advise international clients on UAE double taxation treaty network and permanent establishment risks
Requirements
- 5-8 years of tax advisory experience, preferably with UAE or Middle East exposure
- Strong knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax Law and VAT legislation
- Experience with transfer pricing, international tax structuring, or tax dispute resolution
- Professional tax qualification (CTA, ADIT, or equivalent) or law degree with tax specialisation
- Familiarity with OECD BEPS framework and UAE's adoption of international tax standards
- Fluent English; Arabic language skills preferred
