Tax Senior Associate — Baker McKenzie, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City

Baker McKenzie Vietnam seeks a Tax Senior Associate for its Ho Chi Minh City office to advise multinational clients on Vietnamese tax planning, transfer pricing, and tax dispute resolution. Vietnam's evolving tax framework, including the implementation of the Global Minimum Tax (Pillar Two), creates exciting challenges for tax practitioners.

You will join a globally integrated tax practice with access to Baker McKenzie's worldwide network of tax specialists.

• Advise multinational clients on corporate income tax, VAT, and withholding tax obligations
• Structure cross-border transactions for tax efficiency under Vietnam's DTAs
• Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation and benchmark analyses
• Represent clients in tax audits and disputes with the General Department of Taxation
• Advise on the impact of the Global Minimum Tax on clients' Vietnamese operations
• Prepare tax opinions and rulings applications to Vietnamese tax authorities

• 6-10 years' PQE in tax law, transfer pricing, or tax advisory
• Deep knowledge of the Law on Tax Administration 2019, CIT Law, PIT Law, and VAT Law
• Experience with transfer pricing documentation and compliance under Decree 132/2020/ND-CP
• Understanding of Vietnam's double taxation agreements and the OECD Pillar Two framework
