Job Description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
The Technical & Compliance Specialist contributes to provide technical assistance to the various units within the organization, conduct briefings and technical meetings for customers, coordinate quality assurance activities with other functions, establish priorities for quality assurance and monitor progress towards goals. We expect you to improve companywide quality or technical related policies that aim to achieve organizational objectives. You will aim for the “Zero Defect” initiative in the entire organization helping to find solutions to quality related problems.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Work with quality & technical staff in Tokyo and Chiba to plan, implement and track effective experiments and projects to maximize the return on investment.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to establish and drive technical programs to deliver proprietary products to the market and greater product consistency.
  • Lead benchmarking of quality related topics in support of divisional goals.
  • Determine and position converter and end-user product needs information regarding product quality, industry best
  • practices, product applications and consultative services.
  • Implement product testing at Chiba DC and make the test report.
  • Monitor quality and inventory in our suppliers and warehouse
  • Manage and ensure product compliance with global environmental regulations, including REACH, RoHS, and other relevant standards
  • Work with sales teams for technical support including a certification registration.

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

  • Bachelor‘s degree in Chemistry or engineering related area.
  • 3+ years manufacturing and engineering or related experience, in Quality or Technical department.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong scientific and engineering knowledge.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to be an advisor to clients and build strong and sustainable relationships.
  • Skilled in team building and experience in effectively working with cross functional teams.
  • Moderate/Good English skills (TOEIC above 750)
  • PC skills: Google, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Project lead experience preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO or related experience preferred.
  • Experience in environmental compliance surveys and documentation (REACH, RoHS, etc.) preferred
