Job Description
The Copperbelt University (CBU) in Kitwe is seeking a Legal Officer to provide legal advice to the university administration on institutional contracts, student affairs, employment matters and regulatory compliance with the Higher Education Act and Copperbelt University Act.
Responsibilities
- Review and draft institutional agreements, MoUs and vendor contracts
- Advise the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar on legal matters
- Handle employment disputes and student disciplinary appeals
- Ensure compliance with the Higher Education Authority regulations
Requirements
- LLB and admitted to the Zambian Bar
- 2+ years post-admission experience; higher education or public sector experience preferred
- Good knowledge of employment law and contract management
