agencies.Coordinating with external/Government Authorities for creation, rectification and release of charge on properties.Vendor Empanelment & ManagementCoordinate with Zonal Legal Managers in identifying and empaneling suitable law firms, independent advocates, and search agenciesspecialized in property due diligence to support business expansion into new geographies.Initiate for conducting, periodically and from time to time, the performance review of the empaneled/onboarded law firms, independent advocates, and search agencies, by adhering to the in-house Policies.Communicate, where required, with the empaneled/onboarded law firms, independent advocates, and search agencies.Compliance and Risk MitigationEnsure strict compliance with property laws, mortgage creation rules, legal guidelines, and other applicable legal norms.Assist the Head of Legal in apprising various Committees of Board, the Top Management, and the Leadership team, periodically or from time to time, the details of support rendered by the Legal Department to Business and Collections teams.Internal Stakeholder CollaborationApprise the Head of Legal and the Reporting Manager changes in law affecting the business of WeRize.Prepare with the help of the Head of Legal and the Reporting Manager, relevant advisories, circulars, in-house newsletters etc., on legal issues for knowledge enhancement of employees of WeRize, and for mitigating legal risks.Governance and ReportingMaintain MIS and dashboards for tracking vendor performance, legal risk flags, and due diligence turnaround time.
Requirements
- Must be holding law degree (3 years or 5 years). LL.B. from a reputed university.
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of working experience in Legal Departments of Banks/NBFCs/FinTechs into secured mortgage lending (preferably Loan Against Property segment).
- Sound knowledge in property laws, Contract Act, Registration Act, Stamp Act, local laws/codes/regulations, and SARFAESI enforcement.
- Possess various MS Office skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and negotiate with partners.
Compensation
₹50,000 - ₹120,000/year
