Bekas Salih Hussein
Bekas S. Hussein is a legal professional and administrative specialist based in Duhok, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, with over a decade of experience spanning legal administration, humanitarian protection programs, case management, and multilingual legal translation. He holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Duhok and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, in which he graduated third out of 89 students.
Throughout his career, Bekas has managed nearly 97,000 legal and protection cases within UNHCR-funded IDP and refugee programs, led legal teams, and produced compliance reporting to international donor standards. He has also served as a judicial assistant at the Public Prosecution in Duhok and provided legal consultancy to international NGOs on Iraqi and KRI labor law.
Fluent in Kurdish, Arabic, and English, he brings strong drafting, research, translation, and data management skills to every role he undertakes. He is currently seeking opportunities in legal administration, humanitarian law, investigations, or data management within reputable organizations or law firms.
