Aplikacja Adwokacka Trainee – Disputes at Wardyński & Partners
Wardyński & Partners invites candidates commencing their aplikacja adwokacka (advocate apprenticeship) to join our Disputes practice in Warsaw. This is a 3-year structured training programme combining work at one of Poland's most respected litigation firms with the mandatory curriculum set by the Okręgowa Rada Adwokacka w Warszawie (ORA).
About the Programme
As an aplikant adwokacki at Wardyński, you will receive hands-on training in commercial litigation, arbitration, and administrative disputes. You will work under the supervision of experienced adwokaci, gradually taking on greater responsibility in court proceedings before the Sąd Okręgowy w Warszawie, Sąd Apelacyjny w Warszawie, and administrative courts (Wojewódzki Sąd Administracyjny, Naczelny Sąd Administracyjny).
The firm provides dedicated mentorship, financial support for ORA training fees and bar exam preparation, and a competitive salary throughout the 3-year aplikacja period. Our track record of aplikanci passing the egzamin adwokacki (bar examination) is excellent, and many of our current partners began their careers as Wardyński trainees.
Duration & Compensation
This is a paid, 3-year position aligned with the aplikacja adwokacka calendar. Start date: October 2026 (aligned with the ORA training cycle). Salary: competitive monthly stipend throughout the programme.
Responsibilities
- Assist adwokaci in preparing pleadings, motions, and legal opinions for court proceedings
- Attend court hearings at sądy powszechne and sądy administracyjne under supervision
- Conduct legal research on substantive and procedural issues
- Draft legal memoranda and case analyses for the disputes team
- Attend ORA-mandated training sessions and prepare for the egzamin adwokacki
- Participate in firm-wide knowledge sharing and training programmes
Requirements
- Magister prawa from a recognised Polish university (UW, UJ, UWr, UAM, or equivalent)
- Passed or registered for the wstępny egzamin na aplikację adwokacką (entrance examination)
- Strong academic record with focus on civil procedure, commercial law, or administrative law
- Excellent legal writing and analytical skills in Polish
- Good English (B2+) for international arbitration work
- Commitment to completing the full 3-year aplikacja programme
