Corporate Law Intern — Summer Programme
Al Tamimi & Company's Doha office invites applications for its Summer Internship Programme in the Corporate and Commercial practice group. This 10-week paid internship provides hands-on experience in one of the Middle East's leading law firms, based in the West Bay financial district. Interns will work alongside experienced lawyers on real client matters involving M&A, joint ventures, and regulatory compliance under Qatari law.
Programme Details
- Duration: 10 weeks (June to August)
- Location: Al Tamimi & Company, West Bay, Doha
- Paid internship: Competitive monthly stipend provided
- Open to: Law students in their penultimate or final year, or recent LLB/JD graduates
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on Qatar Commercial Companies Law (Law No. 11 of 2015) and QFC regulations
- Draft memoranda, client briefings, and due diligence reports under supervision
- Attend client meetings, court hearings, and arbitration proceedings as an observer
- Assist with document review and transaction management on live deals
- Participate in the firm's professional development and mentorship programme
Responsibilities
- Support the corporate team on active transactions and advisory matters
- Complete assigned research projects and present findings to the team
- Participate in weekly training sessions on Qatari legal topics
- Maintain time recording and professional standards
- Deliver an end-of-programme presentation on a selected legal topic
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an LLB, JD, or LLM programme at a recognised university, or recent graduate
- Strong academic record with demonstrated interest in corporate or commercial law
- Fluent English required; Arabic language skills are a significant advantage
- Right to work in Qatar (firm provides visa sponsorship for qualified candidates)
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
