The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) offers a structured 3-month paid legal internship for UAE nationals as part of Abu Dhabi's Emiratisation and youth development objectives. Based at the main courthouse on Al Salam Street, Abu Dhabi.

Programme Details

What You Will Do

  • Rotate through civil, criminal, and commercial court divisions
  • Observe trials, sentencing hearings, and appellate proceedings

  • Participate in workshops on judicial ethics, court procedure, and legal drafting

Requirements

  • UAE national (Emirati) — mandatory
  • Currently enrolled in an LLB or Sharia & Law programme at a UAE university
  • Strong Arabic language skills — essential (court proceedings are in Arabic)
  • English language proficiency
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0 or equivalent
  • Students from UAE University Faculty of Law, University of Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi University are particularly encouraged
