Human Rights & Governance Research Internship — UNDP Algeria
UNDP Algeria is offering a research internship in its Governance & Rule of Law program. This internship is ideal for law or political science students interested in human rights, access to justice, and institutional reform in Algeria.
Research Areas
- Assist with research on access to justice barriers in Algeria, with focus on gender equality and vulnerable populations
- Support the preparation of policy briefs, reports, and presentations for government counterparts
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of governance program activities
- Attend meetings with government officials, civil society, and international partners
- Draft content for UNDP Algeria's knowledge management and communications products

Requirements
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Master's program in Law, Human Rights, Political Science, or International Relations. Strong interest in governance, rule of law, and human rights in the MENA region. Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills. Fluency in French required; Arabic and English are strong assets. Familiarity with the UN system and SDGs. Ability to work in a multicultural team environment. Previous internship or volunteer experience in a related field is an advantage.
