Investment Law Trainee — DFDL Cambodia, Daun Penh, Phnom Penh

DFDL Cambodia is offering a trainee position in its Investment and Corporate practice. As a Trainee Lawyer, you will assist senior Mevakil with FDI advisory matters, company incorporation, and investment licensing under the Law on Investment (2021) and Law on Commercial Enterprises (2005).

DFDL's trainee programme is one of the most prestigious in Cambodia, providing structured mentoring and hands-on experience across the firm's practice areas. Successful trainees regularly progress to associate positions.

• Assist with legal research on Cambodian investment law, QIP regulations, and SEZ frameworks
• Support the preparation of investment licence applications to the CDC
• Draft preliminary company formation documents and articles of incorporation
• Assist with due diligence on corporate transactions
• Attend client meetings and take minutes under the supervision of senior lawyers
• Contribute to the firm's legal alerts and knowledge management on Cambodian law developments

• Final-year law student or recent graduate from RULE, Pannasastra University, or equivalent
• Strong academic record in commercial law, investment law, or corporate law
• Interest in FDI, cross-border transactions, and international business law
• Basic knowledge of the Law on Investment and Law on Commercial Enterprises
• Proficient in Khmer and English (written and spoken)
• Eligible for trainee registration with the BAKC
