Internship Description
Labor Law Internship — Romulo Mabanta Buenaventura Sayoc & de los Angeles
Romulo Mabanta's Employment and Immigration practice group offers a summer internship for law students interested in Philippine labor and employment law. Interns will be based at the firm's Makati City office and will gain exposure to the full spectrum of employment law matters.
Internship Details
- Duration: 2-3 months (summer internship preferred)
- Compensation: Paid internship with monthly stipend
- Schedule: Full-time during summer term
Key Responsibilities
- Assist labor law attorneys in drafting employment contracts, company policies, and employee handbooks
- Research Philippine Labor Code provisions, DOLE regulations, and NLRC jurisprudence
- Help prepare position papers, rejoinders, and memoranda for NLRC proceedings
- Observe NLRC mandatory conference hearings and voluntary arbitration proceedings
- Assist with immigration-related matters including work permit applications and visa processing
- Attend firm lectures and mentorship sessions on labor and employment law practice

Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a J.D. or LL.B. program at a recognized Philippine law school (3rd or 4th year preferred)
- Interest in labor law, employment relations, or immigration law
- Strong academic performance in Labor Law and Social Legislation courses
- Excellent English writing and research skills
- Knowledge of Filipino and willingness to attend NLRC proceedings
- Must be available for at least 2 months during summer
