Legal Intern – Banking Compliance
DBS Bank is offering a 3-month legal internship within its Group Legal & Compliance division at Marina Bay Financial Centre. This programme gives law students hands-on experience in banking compliance, AML/CFT, and regulatory advisory at Southeast Asia's largest bank.
Programme Highlights
- Assist the legal team with research on MAS regulations, Banking Act requirements, and PDPA compliance
- Review and summarise regulatory circulars, consultation papers, and enforcement actions from MAS and PDPC
- Support the team in preparing compliance training materials and internal policy documentation
- Assist with contract review, vendor due diligence, and regulatory filing preparation
- Gain exposure to DBS's digital banking initiatives and fintech partnership governance
Requirements
- Current law student at NUS, SMU, SUSS, or an overseas law school (penultimate or final year preferred)
- Strong academic record with interest in banking regulation, fintech, or financial compliance
- Excellent research and legal writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple research projects
- Available for a 3-month commitment
This is a paid internship. A monthly allowance is provided for the duration of the programme.
