Internship Description
Mayora & Mayora is offering a Legal Internship in its Intellectual Property practice in Guatemala City. You will assist with trademark prosecution, IP portfolio management, and enforcement matters at one of Guatemala's leading IP law firms.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with trademark and patent application research and filings
- Monitor trademark databases for potential infringement conflicts
- Draft basic IP correspondence and filing documentation
- Support attorneys on IP licensing and technology transfer matters
- Research Central American IP law developments and comparative analysis
Responsibilities
- Support the IP team on portfolio management tasks
- Prepare trademark search reports and conflict analyses
- Assist with filing documentation at the Registro de la Propiedad Intelectual
- Participate in IP training sessions and seminars
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Licenciatura en Ciencias Juridicas y Sociales at a recognised Guatemalan university
- Completed at least 7th semester
- Interest in intellectual property and technology law
- Proficiency in Spanish and English
- Detail-oriented with strong research skills
