Internship Description
Legal Intern – International Practice
Baker McKenzie & KL Partners is offering a Legal Internship for 법학전문대학원 students at its Seoul office. This internship provides unique exposure to international legal practice within a global law firm framework, ideal for students interested in cross-border transactions and international careers.
Program Details
- Duration: 4-8 weeks (flexible scheduling, June – August preferred)
- Compensation: Paid — monthly stipend
- Eligibility: 2nd or 3rd year 법학전문대학원 students; LLM candidates also welcome
What You Will Do
- Assist on cross-border M&A, joint venture, and outbound investment transactions involving Korean companies
- Conduct comparative legal research on Korean and common law jurisdictions
- Participate in calls and meetings with Baker McKenzie offices in over 40 countries
- Draft bilingual (Korean/English) legal memoranda and correspondence
- Attend Baker McKenzie's Asia Pacific intern programme events and training sessions
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Korean 법학전문대학원 or pursuing an LLM at a Korean or international institution
- Outstanding English proficiency (TOEFL 105+ or equivalent); native English speakers welcome
- Interest in cross-border transactions and international legal practice
- Study abroad experience or dual-degree background is preferred
