Internship Description
Morgan & Morgan offers a maritime law internship (Pasantía) for law students interested in the world's largest ship registry jurisdiction. You will assist attorneys with vessel arrest cases, maritime lien research, and Tribunal Marítimo filings while gaining exposure to international shipping law.
Responsibilities
Research maritime law issues including vessel liens, cargo claims, and flag state regulations. Assist with drafting motions and pleadings for the Tribunal Marítimo. Support due diligence for ship sale and purchase transactions. Attend hearings and client meetings with supervising attorneys. Maintain case files and legal research databases.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in the final two years of a Licenciatura en Derecho program at a Panamanian university. Interest in maritime law. Basic knowledge of the Código Marítimo. Spanish required; English proficiency strongly preferred.
