Practice Trainee – Disputes
Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP is seeking Practice Trainees to join its Dispute Resolution department for the 12-month Practice Training Contract (PTC) at its Raffles Place headquarters. This is a mandatory training period under the Legal Profession Act, required before admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
Training Highlights
- Complete the mandatory 12-month Practice Training Contract with rotations through both Advocate and Solicitor seats as required by the Legal Profession (Admission) Rules
- Gain hands-on experience in commercial litigation before the Supreme Court, State Courts, and Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC)
- Assist in international arbitration proceedings at SIAC, ICC, and under UNCITRAL Rules
- Draft pleadings, submissions, legal research memos, and witness statements under partner supervision
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitration sessions with supervising practitioners
Requirements
- Holder of a recognised law degree from NUS, SMU, SUSS, or an SILE-approved overseas law school
- Passed or scheduled to take the Part B Bar Examinations administered by SILE
- Strong academic record and demonstrated interest in dispute resolution
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Singapore citizen or permanent resident, or holder of a valid work permit
This is a paid 12-month PTC position. A training honorarium is provided in accordance with Law Society guidelines.
