About the Internship

Tsakos Energy Navigation offers a shipping law internship within our in-house legal department in Athens. This is a rare opportunity to gain in-house maritime law experience at one of the world's leading tanker shipping companies, listed on the NYSE.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with review of charterparty agreements and commercial shipping contracts
  • Research maritime regulations, IMO conventions, and EU shipping directives
  • Help manage correspondence with P&I clubs, class societies, and external counsel
  • Support documentation for vessel acquisitions and flag state registrations
  • Prepare summaries of demurrage claims and off-hire disputes

Requirements

  • Law degree from a Greek or international university
  • Interest in maritime law and the international shipping industry
  • Basic understanding of charterparty types and shipping terminology
  • Good English skills essential
  • Available for 6-12 month internship period
