Stage — Banking Legal Department | Attijariwafa Bank, Casablanca

Attijariwafa Bank, Morocco's largest banking group headquartered at Boulevard Moulay Youssef in Casablanca, offers a 6-month paid Stage within its Legal Division. This is an exceptional opportunity for law students to gain in-house banking law experience at Morocco's most important financial institution.

Programme Overview

Stagiaires rotate across the Legal Division's key functions: credit documentation, regulatory compliance, litigation and debt recovery, and corporate transactions. You will gain practical exposure to the Loi Bancaire 103-12, Bank Al-Maghrib regulations, AML/CTF compliance, and the day-to-day legal operations of a systemically important financial institution. This Stage is an excellent preparation for the CAPA examination or a career in banking law.

Stage Details

  • Duration: 6 months
  • Type: Paid Stage with monthly stipend of 3,500 MAD
  • Location: 2 Boulevard Moulay Youssef, Casablanca
  • Eligibility: Master 1 or Master 2 students in Banking Law or Business Law

Responsibilities

  • Assist with review and drafting of credit facility agreements and security documentation
  • Support compliance team on AML/CTF regulatory monitoring
  • Help prepare files for banking litigation and debt recovery proceedings
  • Research banking regulatory questions and prepare internal memoranda
  • Assist with corporate documentation for bank subsidiary governance
  • Participate in internal training sessions on Moroccan banking law

Requirements

  • Current enrolment in Master 1 or Master 2 in Banking Law, Business Law, or Private Law
  • Strong academic record at a Moroccan university
  • Interest in banking regulation, financial services, and compliance
  • Good French drafting skills; Arabic required
  • Organised and able to handle confidential information
