Stagiaire – Corporate & Commercial Law

Liedekerke Wolters Waelbroeck Kirkpatrick on Boulevard de l'Empereur near the Palais de Justice in Brussels is recruiting stagiaires for its Corporate and Commercial practice group. As one of Belgium's largest independent firms, Liedekerke offers stagiaires exposure to the full range of Belgian corporate law under the Code of Companies and Associations (CSA/WVV).

You will assist on M&A transactions, corporate governance advisory, and commercial contract negotiations while completing your mandatory three-year stage at the Brussels Bar.

What You Will Do

• Assist with M&A transactions including due diligence, SPA drafting, and closing procedures
• Research Belgian corporate law issues under the CSA/WVV
• Draft corporate resolutions, board minutes, and shareholders' agreements
• Assist with Belgian regulatory filings including FSMA and Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (BCE/KBO)
• Support the team on commercial contract review and negotiation

• Support avocats on corporate and M&A mandates
• Conduct legal research on Belgian corporate law matters
• Draft corporate documentation and commercial agreements
• Attend client meetings and transaction closings
• Complete mandatory bar course and training modules

• Master in Law from a Belgian university (UCLouvain, ULB, KU Leuven, UGent, VUB, UAntwerpen)
• Registered or eligible as stagiaire with the Barreau de Bruxelles or Balie van Brussel
• Strong academic record in corporate and commercial law
• Fluent in French or Dutch and English; bilingual FR/NL is a strong advantage
• Interest in Belgian corporate law and M&A practice
