Internship Description
Summer Associate Program — Bae, Kim & Lee
Bae, Kim & Lee (BKL) invites 법학전문대학원 (law school) students to apply for its Summer Associate Program at Centropolis B, Jongno-gu, Seoul. BKL's summer program provides hands-on exposure to corporate law, financial services, dispute resolution, and international arbitration at one of Korea's top-tier full-service firms.
Program Details
- Duration: 6-8 weeks (June – August)
- Compensation: Paid — monthly stipend aligned with market rates for summer associates
- Eligibility: 2nd or 3rd year 법학전문대학원 students
What You Will Do
- Work on live matters in Corporate/M&A, Banking & Finance, Dispute Resolution, or Maritime & Shipping
- Draft legal research memoranda on Korean law issues and assist with due diligence reviews
- Attend arbitral hearings at KCAB International and court proceedings at Seoul Central District Court
- Participate in professional development seminars and networking events with BKL partners
- Benefit from a structured mentorship programme pairing each summer associate with a mid-level mentor
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year of an accredited Korean 법학전문대학원
- Strong interest in corporate law, financial services, or international practice
- English proficiency required; experience with moot court or law review is preferred
