The Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros (SCVS), Ecuador's corporate and securities regulator, seeks a Specialist Lawyer for its Guayaquil regional office. The SCVS oversees compliance with the Ley de Compañías and the Ley de Mercado de Valores, regulating all commercial companies and securities market participants in Ecuador.

The role involves reviewing company formations, capital increases, mergers, and dissolutions, as well as supervising securities market intermediaries and insurance companies in the Litoral region.

• Reviewing and approving company formation documents, capital increases, and mergers
• Supervising compliance by securities market intermediaries in the Guayaquil region
• Handling administrative proceedings against non-compliant companies
• Advising on the dissolution and liquidation of commercial companies
• Preparing legal opinions on corporate law matters for the regional director

• Título de Abogado from a recognised Ecuadorian university
• 3-6 years of experience in corporate law, securities regulation, or insurance law
• Expert knowledge of the Ley de Compañías and Ley de Mercado de Valores
• Experience with corporate filings, shareholder disputes, and regulatory proceedings
• Understanding of insurance regulation and SCVS supervisory framework
• Passed the public sector competency assessment under LOSEP
