Advogado — Direito do Ambiente e ESG

EDP's Legal Department in Lisbon is seeking an Advogado specialising in environmental law and ESG to support the company's ambitious sustainability agenda. Based at Avenida 24 de Julho, you will advise on environmental permitting, ESG regulatory compliance, and sustainable finance frameworks for one of Europe's most committed energy companies to the green transition.

Principais Responsabilidades

• Advise on environmental impact assessment (AIA) procedures under Decreto-Lei n.º 151-B/2013 for energy projects
• Support compliance with Portugal's environmental legislation: Lei de Bases do Ambiente (Lei n.º 19/2014), Regime de Emissão de Licenças (RJAIA), and EU ETS
• Advise on EU Taxonomy Regulation, CSRD, and sustainable finance disclosure requirements
• Draft and review environmental clauses in M&A transactions, joint ventures, and project finance documentation
• Monitor Portuguese transposition of EU Green Deal legislation and prepare impact assessments

Requisitos

• Licenciatura or Mestrado em Direito; specialisation in environmental law or sustainability preferred
• Inscrito na Ordem dos Advogados; 3-6 years PQE in environmental, ESG, or energy law
• Knowledge of Portuguese environmental legislation and EU sustainability frameworks
• Fluent English required
