Job Description
Noboa, Peña & Torres seeks a mid-level Associate for its Commercial Law practice in Guayaquil. The firm serves a diverse client base of exporters, importers, agribusiness companies, and commercial enterprises in Ecuador's economic capital.
The role involves drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, advising on distribution and franchise agreements, and handling commercial litigation before the civil and commercial courts of Guayaquil.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating supply agreements, distribution contracts, and franchise documentation
- Advising on commercial disputes and representing clients before Guayaquil civil courts
- Reviewing terms and conditions for e-commerce and digital commerce platforms
- Assisting with regulatory filings before the Superintendencia de Compañías
- Supporting the firm's trade clients on COPCI compliance matters
Requirements
- Título de Abogado from a recognised Ecuadorian university
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial law, contracts, or corporate advisory
- Strong knowledge of the Código de Comercio and Código Civil
- Experience drafting complex commercial agreements
- Familiarity with Guayaquil commercial court procedures
- English proficiency preferred for international client matters
