Job Description

Cobalt Lithuania, a leading Baltic law firm, is recruiting an Associate to join our Banking & Finance practice in Vilnius. You will advise banks, investment funds, and corporate borrowers on financing transactions, regulatory matters, and restructurings across Lithuania and the wider Baltic region.

The role involves working with the Banku istatymas (Law on Banks), Mokejimo istaigu istatymas (Law on Payment Institutions), and EU financial regulations. You will support clients in dealings with Lietuvos bankas (Bank of Lithuania) and draft documentation for syndicated loans, bond issuances, and structured finance products.

Responsibilities

Draft and negotiate loan agreements, security packages, and intercreditor agreements under Lithuanian law. Advise on regulatory compliance with Lietuvos bankas requirements and the Banku istatymas. Support acquisition finance and project finance transactions across the Baltics. Conduct legal research on Lithuanian and EU financial regulation. Assist partners with Baltic-wide client relationship management.

Requirements

Teises magistras from Vilnius University or equivalent. 3-5 years of experience in banking and finance law. Strong knowledge of the Banku istatymas (Law on Banks) and EU banking regulations. Experience with Lietuvos bankas regulatory matters. Fluent in Lithuanian and English.
