Cobalt Lithuania is looking for a Junior Associate to join our Employment Law practice in our Kaunas office. You will advise employers on Lithuanian employment regulations, workforce restructurings, and individual employment disputes.
Lithuania's growing tech sector and increasing foreign investment have created complex employment law challenges. The role involves working with the Darbo kodeksas (Labour Code), advising on employee contracts, collective agreements, and matters before the Darbo gincu komisija (Labour Dispute Commission). Cobalt's Kaunas office serves the city's vibrant corporate community.
Responsibilities
Advise employers on Lithuanian Darbo kodeksas compliance, including hiring, termination, and workplace policies. Draft and review employment contracts, non-compete agreements, and internal regulations. Support clients in individual and collective labour dispute proceedings before the Darbo gincu komisija. Advise on workforce restructurings, redundancy programs, and TUPE transfers. Research Lithuanian and EU employment law developments for client alerts.
Requirements
Teises magistras from a recognized Lithuanian university. 1-3 years of experience in employment or labour law. Knowledge of the Darbo kodeksas (Labour Code) and related employment regulations. Understanding of EU employment directives. Fluent in Lithuanian and English.
