Job Description
Sorainen, a leading Baltic and Belarusian business law firm, is recruiting an Associate to join our Banking & Finance practice in Tallinn. You will advise banks, investment funds, and corporate borrowers on financing transactions, regulatory matters, and restructurings across Estonia and the Baltic region.
The role involves working with the Krediidiasutuste seadus (Credit Institutions Act) and EU financial regulations. You will support clients in dealings with Finantsinspektsioon (Estonian Financial Supervision Authority) and draft documentation for syndicated loans, bond issuances, and structured finance products.

Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate loan agreements, security packages, and intercreditor agreements under Estonian law. Advise on regulatory compliance with Finantsinspektsioon requirements and the Krediidiasutuste seadus. Support acquisition finance and project finance transactions across the Baltics. Conduct legal research on Estonian and EU financial regulation. Assist partners with Baltic-wide client relationship management.
Requirements
Oigusteaduse magister (Master of Laws) from the University of Tartu or equivalent. 3-5 years of experience in banking and finance law. Strong knowledge of the Krediidiasutuste seadus (Credit Institutions Act) and EU banking regulations. Experience with Finantsinspektsioon regulatory matters. Fluent in Estonian and English; Russian or Latvian is a plus.
