Abrahams Davidson & Co, a leading Brunei litigation firm, is recruiting a Senior Litigation Lawyer for its dispute resolution practice in Bandar Seri Begawan. The successful candidate will handle complex commercial litigation before the High Court and Court of Appeal of Brunei Darussalam, as well as international arbitration matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex commercial disputes before the High Court, Court of Appeal, and Privy Council (where applicable)
• Handle construction disputes, insurance claims, and employment litigation under Brunei's Employment Order 2009
• Conduct international commercial arbitration under UNCITRAL and SIAC rules
• Draft pleadings, affidavits, legal submissions, and skeleton arguments for court proceedings
• Advise on enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in Brunei
• Manage client relationships and supervise junior litigation team members

• Lead the firm's litigation and dispute resolution practice
• Manage a portfolio of complex dispute cases
• Mentor and develop junior advocates

• Admitted to practise as an advocate and solicitor in Brunei under the Legal Profession Act (Chapter 132)
• 8-12 years of post-qualification experience in commercial litigation or dispute resolution
• Strong advocacy skills with significant court appearance experience
• Experience with international arbitration is highly desirable
• Law degree from UBD, a UK, or Australian university
• Fluent in English; Malay proficiency is an advantage
