TGS Baltic Lithuania is recruiting an Associate to strengthen our EU & Competition Law practice in Vilnius. You will advise clients on Lithuanian and EU competition law, state aid matters, and regulatory compliance across the Lithuanian market.
The role involves analyzing mergers for Konkurencijos taryba (Competition Council) clearance, advising on antitrust compliance programs, and representing clients in competition law proceedings. You will also work on EU law matters including free movement, public procurement under the Viesuju pirkimu istatymas (Law on Public Procurement), and state aid notifications to the European Commission.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on Lithuanian and EU competition law compliance, including cartel and abuse of dominance matters. Prepare merger notification filings for Konkurencijos taryba. Represent clients in competition law proceedings before the Konkurencijos taryba and the Vilniaus apygardos administracinis teismas (Vilnius Regional Administrative Court). Advise on state aid rules and public procurement under the Viesuju pirkimu istatymas. Draft competition law compliance programs and training materials for corporate clients.
Requirements
Teises magistras from a recognized university. 3-5 years of experience in competition law or EU law. Strong knowledge of the Konkurencijos istatymas (Competition Law) and EU competition law (Articles 101-102 TFEU). Experience with merger control filings or antitrust investigations. Fluent in Lithuanian and English.
