Associate – Funds & Investment Management
Clifford Chance Singapore is hiring a mid-level Associate for its Funds & Investment Management practice at Marina Bay Financial Centre. You will advise global fund managers, sovereign wealth funds, and institutional investors on fund formation, regulatory licensing, and investment structures across Asia-Pacific.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on the establishment of private equity, venture capital, real estate, and infrastructure funds domiciled in Singapore, Cayman, and Luxembourg
- Draft and negotiate fund documentation including limited partnership agreements, subscription documents, and side letters
- Advise on MAS licensing requirements for fund management companies under the SFA
- Support regulatory applications for Registered Fund Management Companies (RFMCs) and Licensed Fund Management Companies (LFMCs)
- Advise institutional investors on co-investment structures, fund-of-funds arrangements, and GP commitments
Requirements
- Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore, or qualified in England & Wales
- 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in funds, investment management, or financial regulatory law
- Familiarity with the SFA, MAS fund management licensing framework, and Variable Capital Companies Act
- Experience in PE/VC fund formation is highly preferred
- Strong commercial awareness and client-facing skills
